Chinese Language Signature Programme : CL Flagship Programme
Our CL Flagship Programme is designed to nurture confident and proficient bilingual learners while promoting authentic language use and appreciation of the Chinese culture.

Guided by our school’s Lift Off belief in providing opportunities to Expose our Woodgrovians based on their interests and enabling those with the aptitude to Excel, our programme is undergirded by a 3 tier approach (Experience, Expose, Excel)
Tier 1 – Experience that ignites every student's passion for the Chinese language and culture
As part of our Woodgrovian Experience, all Primary 1 to Primary 6 students participate in our exciting Mother Tongue Language Fortnight. During this fortnight of activities, they experienced level competitions, cultural appreciation activities and language quizzes. Woodgrovians also engage in authentic cultural experiences such as Tea Appreciation in conjunction with our Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. There are also unique level programme such as our P2 Chinese theatre learning journey and P4 Cultural Camp. Together, these programme provide an enrich Experience cultivating language proficiency, cultural understanding and a lifelong appreciation of the Chinese language.

Tier 2 – Expose to a wider range of language skills
For students who demonstrate a keen interest in the Chinese Language and culture, they have opportunities to explore a variety of language skills such as oracy and communication expression. Programmes include Speech & Drama and Public Speaking enrichment sessions.

Tier 3 – Excel through mastery and talent development
For Woodgrovians who demonstrate aptitude, beyond interests, platforms are specially selected to deepen their talent areas. Primary 3 to 6 Woodgrovians who showed readiness are given the choice to take up Higher Chinese Language (HCL) to deepened their Chinese Language mastery. For those with specific talent areas, platforms are identified and selected for them to hone their skills and shine. These include National Text Recital Competition, GoodTalk (Global Village) International Children & Youth Bilingual Speech Conference (National), International Chinese Language Competition for Primary Schools, etc. In addition, Woodgrovians taking HCL are also given the opportunities to join our Young Poets Programme and English-to-Chinese Translation Programme.
