Our World, Our Classroom: Global Exposure & Immersion
Designed to develop global awareness and cross-cultural literacy in our Woodgrovians, our World, Our Classroom provide cultural exposure via a variety of programmes including virtual exchanges and overseas immersion opportunities.

Connecting Beyond Borders – Hong Kong.
Post-COVID, Primary 5 Woodgrovians have been provided with broader opportunities to develop global awareness and cross-cultural literacy. As a level, students connect with peers from Hong Kong through online exchanges, sharing their school experiences, cultures and communities. Woodgrove has also hosted students and educators from several Hong Kong schools, giving our Woodgrovians authentic opportunities to serve as buddies and hosts. Through these interactions, they practise their iGR³ACE values, communicate across cultures and learn to appreciate diverse perspectives and ways of life.

Learning Beyond Borders – Shanghai.
Selected Primary 5 Woodgrovians are also given the opportunity to participate in the Overseas Immersion Programme to Shanghai, China. Interested students undergo a selection process beginning with either a personal video presentation or a written composition expressing their interest, aspirations and readiness for the programme. Through school visits, cultural exchanges and immersive learning experiences, students broaden their global perspectives while developing confidence, independence, adaptability and interpersonal skills.
Together, these virtual exchanges, hosting experiences and overseas immersion opportunities bring the world into the Woodgrovian Experience and extend learning beyond the classroom. They nurture Woodgrovians who engage respectfully with others, appreciate cultural diversity and grow as concerned citizens who demonstrate civic responsibility, global awareness and cross-cultural literacy in an interconnected world.
