ICT Training
At Woodgrove Primary School, our robust and engaging EdTech programme empowers every Woodgrovian to become a confident, critical and responsible user of technology who are ready to learn, create and contribute in an increasingly digital world.

Guided by MOE’s “Find, Think, Apply, Create” framework, our progressive Primary 1 to Primary 6 programme develops students’ digital literacy and technological skills through meaningful, age-appropriate learning experiences. These experiences provide authentic opportunities to strengthen competencies such as device and software operations, digital communication, data competencies, computational thinking, and coding and programming.
Our younger learners begin by developing strong foundations in touch typing and word processing. Primary 1 students use Microsoft Word to create e-journals reflecting on how they contribute at home, combining basic software skills with personal expression and purposeful communication. Students also develop touch-typing skills in their Mother Tongue languages, including Chinese and Tamil, enabling them to communicate confidently across different languages and digital contexts.
As students progress through the levels, they learn to communicate ideas creatively through multimedia. Using Microsoft PowerPoint, students design presentations on topics such as upcycling and produce videos that promote safety at home, on the road, during sports and around water bodies. These activities strengthen their ability to organise information, make thoughtful design choices and present messages clearly to an audience. Through the National Digital Explorer (NDE) programme, students further expand their understanding of the digital world and learn to navigate technology with greater confidence.
At the upper primary levels, students move beyond using digital tools to interpreting information and solving problems. Primary 5 students use Microsoft Excel to record plant growth, plot graphs and present data meaningfully, developing important data competencies. Through the Code for Fun programme, they apply computational thinking and coding skills to develop, test and improve solutions.
In Primary 6, students are introduced to Artificial Intelligence through an age-appropriate module. They explore emerging technologies while learning to consider their possibilities, limitations and responsible use. Students also use Canva to create purposeful and visually engaging digital products. This supports MOE’s emphasis on helping students understand AI and use it effectively, critically and responsibly.
Creativity remains an important part of the journey. EdTech is integrated with Art across Primary 1 to Primary 6, giving students opportunities to combine digital skills with imagination, visual communication and artistic expression.
Through hands-on exploration, authentic tasks and a carefully planned progression of skills, our students do not merely consume technology, they use it to investigate, communicate, create and solve problems. At Woodgrove Primary School, every click, code and creation contributes towards developing adaptable, inventive and future-ready Woodgrovians.
