School Rules and Regulations
Being a Woodgrovian - Our school rules and regulations
Woodgrovian Pledge
We, the Woodgrovians, pledge to uphold the value of iGR3ACE in our thoughts, words and actions. We pledge to be the best that we can be, so that we shine for ourselves and others.
Students must abide by the rules and procedures outlined by the school. The procedures help the school to maintain an orderly and conducive environment to promote effective learning. Students must exercise self-leadership and always uphold the good name of the school.
Our Approach to Discipline
At Woodgrove Primary School, discipline is value-centred and educative. We teach, coach and restore because we believe every child can learn to do the right. At the same time, we are firm when lines are crossed, especially for bullying and behaviours that threaten safety. Our aim is for every Woodgrovian to grow into a leader with character, living out iGR³ACE values and shining for self and others.

National Anthem
Students who are Singapore Citizens must sing the National anthem and take the Pledge. Students will take the Pledge with the right fist placed over the heart.
School Uniform & Appearance
School Uniform
Students are to wear the prescribed school uniform and modification to the uniform is not allowed.
Facial Appearance
Male students must be neat in appearance and clean-shaven. No facial hair, beard and moustache is allowed.
Safety and Security
We value the safety of our students and staff. All students, parents, guardians and visitors must comply with the school’s safety and security measures.
All students are not allowed to have in their possession any weapons or sharp objects. They are also not allowed to bring any weapon-like item which may be used or intended to be used to cause harm to others.
All visitors must report to the Security Guard Post at Gate 2. Visitors will have to produce their identification cards for security checks by the school’s security measures.
Visitors will not be allowed into the school premises unless they are there on official matters or to fetch their child/ward who are unwell.
Parents/guardians are only allowed to enter the school for the following reasons:
They have valid reasons to fetch their child/ward home before dismissal. Parents/guardians must report to the General Office first before fetching their child/ward home.
They have an appointment with a member of the school staff.
To make enquiries, pleas call 6894 3371 or email the school at woodgrove_ps@moe.edu.sg
Students are allowed to leave the school during school hours only if their parents/guardians are in the schools to fetch them.
No parents, guardians or visitors are allowed into the student areas such as the classroom blocks without authorisation.
Our school premises are protected by 24 hours recording video surveillance for the purpose of crime prevention and safety.
Student's Attendance
Students are expected to attend school regularly. Any absence from school must be verified by a doctor’s medical certificate or letter from the parents (for urgent private matters). If a student falls sick while in school, parents/guardians will be informed to bring him/her home.
Students will be considered absent without valid reason should they go overseas for holidays during the school term.
Please do not send your child/ward to school if he/she is unwell with any of the following infectious diseases or symptoms: Hand-foot-and-mouth diseases (HFMD), chicken pox, red eye (conjunctivitis), gastric flu, fever, cough, vomiting, sore throat, runny nose, etc. To prevent the spread of infection, a student who is unwell or is given a medical certificate by the doctor should stay at home to rest.
Personal Responsibility & Personal items
In Woodgrove, we teach our students to be independent and responsible. To inculcate them the good habits of checking their own bags each night, school will not accept and deliver personal items (e.g. homework, keys, pocket money, books, stationery, water bottles and food) to the students.
